2017 Xmas dog, this dog was scary (to other people) yesterday. Now everyone wants a hug and a photo. Same dog, dressed as a Christmas tree. Kmart, $4.00 well spent.
I’ve managed to get another concussion, so I’m supposed to stay off the computer. I already buggered up a $70 sheet of plywood because of my inability to tell the difference between 1290 mm and 1190 mm. Exactly the same thing I did with the last head injury. It isn’t only the cost of the wasted ply, but taking the van into town to get it and I can’t finish the job.
It’s a workplace injury; I should have made a fuss about the shelf when I was first moved into the toilet. I know it used to be a toilet because of the frosted glass and weird lighting arrangement. Because the office is an ex toilet the shelves are halfway up one wall so if I open a drawer while standing, I hit my head when I stand up. If I swish back on my wheelie chair and stand up, I hit my head and if I swish back and smack into the wall then stuff falls on my head.
It isn’t as bad as the last concussion which took two years to come right from and who knows if I’m right or just used to the new me. That time I fell on the beach and broke my nose on the sand. There are rocks everywhere (which I missed with my face), and I think the sand may have been a thin veneer over rock which is why my nose broke. I thought I was going to drown in my own blood because I couldn’t roll over and the blood from the nose wasn’t draining away. Fortunately, on this deserted beach, was a lone woman to roll me over since I was too shocked to do it myself.
In order to avoid too much mental strain on blog day, I’ve put together some photos of our Xmas antics over the last few years. I’m not hunting for pictures, many are pre digital cameras. There’s a constant theme though… Last January I put up building pictures. Sometimes we do other stuff…just not often! Enjoy!

Ah, Xmas 2018, loo with a view. If I knew the loo would still be in the same place…Still it is nice with the morning sun in your face first thing. This year the New Year’s resolution is to finish this project…yeah right.

Xmas 2019, the start of the concrete for the piles.

Xmas 2020, the finish of the concrete for the piles.

Xmas 2021 – a proper Christmas…nah, just joking.

Xmas 2022, see the patterns of the coloured windows? Saves on decorations.

Xmas 2023, nah, Xmas really cancelled. Actually Mum died and I flew back from the UK on Christmas day. Never fly Qantas on Christmas day, not so much as a mince pie.

Xmas 2024, breakfast at least. See how safety conscious we are?

I love this photo and we can’t stop working to mess around with Christmas stuff. The roof has been signed off by the building inspector so now the gib (plasterboard, drywall) can go on which means the electrician can come back. This marks real progress and is so exciting and since I have concussion I can’t do much else.
I hope your Christmas has been as much fun as mine has been and still is. May my head feel better soon!
